FeeDesk — Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

By using FeeDesk ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

FeeDesk is a fee calculation tool designed to assist architectural professionals in preparing fee proposals based on SACAP guidelines. It is provided as a guide only.

Calculations produced by the App are based solely on information entered by the user. FeeDesk does not verify the accuracy or completeness of user inputs. FeeDesk does not accept responsibility for any incorrect, incomplete, or misleading calculations, outputs, or fee proposals generated by the App. SACAP fee guidelines may change from time to time. Users are responsible for verifying that the fee tables used by the App remain current. The user remains solely and professionally responsible for verifying all outputs before issuing any fee proposal to a client.

Nothing in this App constitutes professional advice. Users are responsible for exercising their own professional judgement in all matters relating to fee proposals and client engagements.

The App, including its design, logic, structure, and content, is the intellectual property of FeeDesk. Users may not copy, reproduce, reverse engineer, or replicate any part of the App without prior written consent.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FeeDesk shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss arising from use of or reliance on the App.

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

This Privacy Policy explains how FeeDesk ("the App") processes information entered by users. By using the App, you acknowledge that you may enter project-related and personal information and that such information will be processed in accordance with this policy.

The App may process information entered by users, including:

• Project details (e.g. project names, descriptions, values)
• Personal information (e.g. names, contact details, addresses)
• Financial inputs related to fee calculations

In addition, limited anonymous usage data may be collected automatically for performance monitoring and improvement.

Information is processed for the following purposes:

• To perform calculations requested by the user
• To enable functionality of the App
• To improve performance, usability, and features through anonymised analysis

User-entered data may be stored and processed on secure third-party infrastructure. Data is stored only as required for the functionality of the App. Infrastructure providers process data on our behalf and are required to implement appropriate security measures. Data is not retained longer than necessary for its intended purpose.

FeeDesk does not intentionally access or review user-entered data. However, authorised technical processes may access data where necessary for system operation, maintenance, and security and performance monitoring.

User-entered data is not sold or shared with third parties. Data may be processed by infrastructure providers solely to enable operation of the App. Anonymous, aggregated usage data may be used for analytics and improvement.

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are implemented to protect information against loss, unauthorised access, and misuse. While all reasonable steps are taken, no system can guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for the information they choose to enter into the App and for avoiding entry of sensitive or confidential information unless necessary.

In terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act, users have the right to request access to their personal information (where applicable), request correction or deletion of information (where feasible), and object to processing in certain circumstances.
